MBG Youth Center

Join us on Thursday, Oct 27th from 6:30-8:30 for an open house!

The Millersburg Youth Center was established in 2011 as a joint effort of the church of Millersburg. We have pooled our resources, our hearts, and our common desire to have Millersburg remain a great place to grow up.

We have recognized that the trend among our youth is toward isolation, and that they are growing in an environment where bullying, drug use, self-destructive behavior, and even juvenile crime is on the rise in our community. We, the church of Millersburg, have agreed together that this is not where the Lord wishes our community to go, and we have agreed to co-labor with each other and with the Lord to stem this tide.

Our ministry is to provide a safe place of belonging for Middle and High School youth to spend their after-school hours in the presence of adult volunteers who care about them and their futures. Programming will include homework help, recreation activities, interactive games, life skill workshops, career planning help, and eventually a skate park.

Our ultimate hope for all of our participants is that each one will have a life-changing encounter with the Living God, Jesus Christ, and will know Him as Lord and Savior.

The center is now open, using the ground floor of the New Life Center Facility located at 346 Center Street. The hours will initially be 3-6PM on school days, with long-term goals to be open until 9PM, and expand the age range to serve elementary children.

Attached are ways that you can volunteer your time or donate financial resources to this work!
