Discerning your holy calling
2 Tim 1:9 …who has saved us and called us with a holy calling

God gives us gifts, and then looks to us to respond to His Grace by making use of them. His Holy Calling always begins with the question: What’s that you have in your hand?

Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Knowing what we were born to do begins with recognizing and acknowledging what gifts God has placed in us. They are there by God’s design. Form follows Function.
Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.
Contrary to some opinions, God actually calls us into things we love to do. Our heart, when right with God, is an excellent guide into the will and call of God

MAKING YOUR CALL HOLY:
1. Remember who you are actually “working for”
Col 3:23-24 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
2. Apply Kingdom thinking to everything you do. Consider your work consecrated for a greater purpose than making money or accomplishing something temporal.
1Co 6:7 Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?
3. Consider yourself as someone sent by God.
Joh 20:21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
